The primary objective of the study is to estimate the effect of denosumab (AMG 162), compared to placebo on cortical thickness at the distal radius, as determined by in-vivo microCT (XtremeCT®) at 12 months.

Inclusion criteria

  • Postmenopausal osteoporosis /osteopenia
