Comparison of Voriconazole and Amphotericin B in Treating Patients With Aspergillosis RATIONALE: Antifungal therapy with voriconazole or amphotericin B may be an effective treatment for aspergillosis. It is not yet known whether voriconazole is more effective than amphotericin B in treating patients with aspergillosis. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of voriconazole with amphotericin B in treating patients with aspergillosis.

To Compare the Efficacy and Safety of a Therapy of Tacrolimus With Sirolimus or MMF in Kidney Transplantation Primary objective of this study is to compare the two therapy regimens with regard to renal function by using calculated creatinine clearance. SB-480848 In Subjects With Coronary Heart Disease This trial of SB-480848 in approximately 920 subjects with Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) or CHD-risk equivalent will examine whether SB-480848 produces sustained inhibition of plasma Lp-PLA2 activity, explore the effects of SB-480848 on other circulating biomarkers associated with cardiovascular risk, and evaluate the pharmacokinetics, safety and tolerability of SB-480848 over 12 weeks of once-daily oral dosing. Subjects will first be randomized 1:1 to double-blind atorvastatin 20 mg or 80 mg once daily for a minimum of 3 weeks. Subjects will then be randomized 1:1:1:1 to oral doses of SB-480848 40 mg, 80 mg, 160 mg or placebo once daily for 12 weeks. Blood samples will be collected at various timepoints. Vital signs, electrocardiograms, clinical laboratory safety tests and adverse event assessments will be performed to evaluate the safety and tolerability of SB-480848.

A Survival Study in Patients With High Risk Myelodysplastic Syndromes Comparing Azacitidine Versus Conventional Care The purpose of this study is to determine whether patients with high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) treated with azacitidine have improved survival compared to conventional care treatments. The study will also assess the effect of treatments on response, duration of response, and transformation to acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The study will continue for 12 months following last patient enrolled. See study AZA PH GL 2003 CL 001 E for information about the extension to this study.
