To assess the efficacy of a loading dose of intravenous salbutamol in children admitted to a PICU for severe acute wheeze or severe acute asthma. Efficacy is measured by the reduction in asthma score (Qureshi) at 1 hour after administration of the loading dose, compared to placebo. Het bepalen van de efficacy van een oplaaddosis intraveneus salbutamol bij kinderen opgenomen op een PICU wegens ernstige (virale) wheeze of status asthmaticus. Efficacy wordt gemeten middels de afname in astma score (Qureshi) 1 uur na toediening van de loading dose, vergeleken met placebo.

  • Severe acute (viral) wheeze and severe acute asthma,Ernstige acute (virale) wheeze en status asthmaticus
